Everyone needs a place to belong

The more one is united to his neighbor, the more he is united to God.
- St. Dorotheus of Gaza
If there is something that we have learned throughout the centuries it is that faith grows and develops in community. Christianity is not meant to be a "Jesus-and-I" experience. Jesus founded a community. He called together an Ekklesia, the Greek word for Church (1 Timothy 3:15). So...if you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, intentional relationships with people who have the same goal help so much with that. Holy Dormition is growing in the opportunities we provide for you to choose community.

We invite you to join us after services every Sunday in the Fellowship Hall across from the Sanctuary for our Coffee Social. You can grab a snack and a coffee, meet some of our parishioners, and can get answers to your questions about Holy Dormition and Eastern Christianity answered.
